Dexie
Does anyone know if there is a tool that will insert a symbol (circle on bench mark type symbol) and consecutively number them on insertion. I want to use this to mark certain objects on a layout and then to create a worksheet that shows the coordinate of each object in order of insertion. e.g. P001, P002........etc. The Stake Object tool might work except that it doesn't auto number Quote Link to comment
EricRules
I would also like to insert a stake object and create a worksheet that returns the coordinates of each stake object. I can insert a stake object and display Label Reference as ID and number the ID as 1,2 3,4 etc. Then create a report from the stake objects. But how can I return the xy coordinates of each of the Stake Objects. Quote Link to comment

What is the formula to Display ID NUMBER ? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
If you're talking about a plant, I think it's =('Plant'.'Plant ID'). Otherwise, you can often use the name of the object, which is =N hth mk 1 Quote Link to comment
Halina Timms
How do you get a worksheet or report to display the x and y coordinates? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
If the object is a symbol you can use =XCOORDINATE, =YCOORDINATE, and =ZCOORDINATE If the object is just geometry you can use =XCENTER, =YCENTER, and =ZCENTER. hth mk 1 Quote Link to comment
