Mattheng
I use several Macs to work on and one is a white MacBook. I had been working on an external monitor with a higher resolution than the screen on the MacBook. I had to unhitch the MacBook and work on the small screen. When I tried to put a wall into a model I noticed that I couldn't see the ok button at the bottom of the preferences panel (see below) I checked the screen resolution and it was at its max (1280 x 800) and the dock was hidden for maximum screen space (see below). I finished the work on a different Mac but is there no way you can see the bottom of the Wall preferences panel on a MacBook or am I missing something...?!? Matt Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
no, that's the way it is. using the enter or return key close the dialog box Edited November 11, 2011 by Jonathan Pickup Quote Link to comment
Mattheng
Is there a minimum screen resolution recommended to actually see all the controls? Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey W Ouellette
I'd say a minimum height of 960px or 1024px is best. Many of the dialogs have gotten large (800px height), but with the menus, the dialog won't fit on a 800px screen, without clipping the bottom. Quote Link to comment
Mattheng
So, just to be pedantically clear, this will never work on a MacBook. That's disappointing... Apart from pressing return as mentioned above is there any setting you can tweak or other workaround that can get me out of this? Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
There's an amazing amount of wasted space in that dialog box (yes, I know the second pane is actually the longer one). Generally there is a lot of wasted space in the Vectorworks interface. When you see what can fit into the Cinema 4D interface as an example, its clear Vectorworks needs an overhaul.
