Double line Glitch - Please Try

Recommended Posts

Hello

Just to confirm I'm not going mad could a couple of you try this with Vectorworks 2011 and post back.

Open a New Blank Document

Select the Double Line Tool > Top Control Line Mode > Create Polygons

STARTING at 0,0 in the centre of the page try to draw a short line / rectangle

Do you get a Triangle? (I've coloured it just for illustration)

Any idea what's going on?

Can't confirm your mental state, but I get the same bizarre results.

But only if the first click is at 0,0. Works as expected when the second click is at 0,0.

Very strange.

It looks like it is trying to draw a polygon but something in the mathematics of the double line tool causes it to skip 0,0 when 0,0 is the initial point.

Same thing happens with the double line polygon tool.

Looks like a bug. Please submit it.

Interesting find...

Also... If the origin and page is moved, you get the same result only at the ORIGINAL origin, and not at the new 0,0... weird one that!

There is a link to "Bug Submit" in the top right corner of this page.

They will ask you to also send an email with file that is misbehaving. Although they should be able to reproduce this one pretty easily. : )
