Christiaan
Are there any BIM in practice v2012 files we can download soon (making use of Storeys)? Similar to these ones: http://www.vectorworks.net/bim/projects.php Quote Link to comment
Chris D
Ooh yes please. I need to make more fruitful use of the remaining days on my UK version of the 2012 trial. It would be good to see how it's all supposed to work. Quote Link to comment
billtheia
I'd love to see this too. Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey W Ouellette
I'm working on it gentlemen. Please be patient. Quote Link to comment
Chris D
Anyone else got a whole project file set up that gives a good overview of a typical multi-storey building in VW2012? (We promise not to criticise the architecture or the modelling...) Quote Link to comment
bc
This should be available now from NNA. We should not need patience. The website (especially service select)should already demonstrate not merely what VW can do but when new concepts are implemented it should be shown just how NNA expects it to be utilized. Just exactly how does one set up the following drawing files: One story house with basement. One story house with slab on grade Two story house with same as above Multi-story office/apartment How to make sure the story bound objects conform to reality and that the interior and exterior wall components stop where they would in real life. Better interpretation of just what this story feature is conceptually and how it might be used in unexpected ways (such as using a roof for a ramp or a floor as a counter top). Machine or complex object creation if layers is not enough. Whatever same for Spotlight and Landmark The above suggestion is not a rant but a critique of VW marketing. It should have been in the box. Not left up to third parties. I mean, don't you think this would have been better? Unless, of course, the above would expose the limitations and workarounds in an unflattering light. Christiaan
These sorts of exemplar projects are especially important for VW because VW offers too many different ways of doing everything. Quote Link to comment
