Assembly
Is there a way to script the drawing environ set up. I have a 27inch Cinema for my Laptop in the Office. For ever moving the pallets around to adjust for screen size. I'd like to script a reposition of my pallets. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
You can do this with two discreet workspaces. Start on the smaller screen (b/c if you do it the other way palettes can get "lost" outside the viewable area). Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
A big problem with this is that you need to 'anticipate' what workspace you are going to use next time......ie. if you've been working in the 24" the last time and you open VWs on a 17" the next time you've destroyed the 24" setup..........and every change to a workspace subsequently needs to be done in each i.e.. shortcuts etc. Justin, there was a thread/wish list on this a couple of years ago in which someone suggested using 2 desktop icons one for each screen size + a little fiddling in some preference files, try searching for that.......not icons but automator..... Assembly
Thanks... I suspect this is a common case for 1000's of users. Come on VW do we really have to get into shell scripts to solve such a case. Quote Link to comment
