Hollow tubes

Recommended Posts

Having completed my drawings in 2D, I wish to utalise the extrude command to create a 3D equivalent.

I am having no joy with subtracting one concentric circle from another to leave a hollow disc that i can subsequently extrude to produce a hollow pipe or gearing to place on a spindle.

It is a process i used in AutoCAD but am unable to decipher in Vectorworks.

Firstly draw a 2d circle with a solid fill, then a smaller concentric one, also with solid fill. Select both then use the clip surface too. This will then leave you with a hollow 2d circle wich can then be extruded, or my favourite new feature in 9.5, extruded along a path!
