Dellboy
Having completed my drawings in 2D, I wish to utalise the extrude command to create a 3D equivalent. I am having no joy with subtracting one concentric circle from another to leave a hollow disc that i can subsequently extrude to produce a hollow pipe or gearing to place on a spindle. It is a process i used in AutoCAD but am unable to decipher in Vectorworks. Quote Link to comment
Stuart Gray
Firstly draw a 2d circle with a solid fill, then a smaller concentric one, also with solid fill. Select both then use the clip surface too. This will then leave you with a hollow 2d circle wich can then be extruded, or my favourite new feature in 9.5, extruded along a path! Quote Link to comment
remarkr
Thats cool to know. What about being able to do the same thing with Arcs. The commands doen't seem to work the same way. What tool would you use? Quote Link to comment
