ivan77
I'm using VW2010 and having an issue with 2D polygons and extrudes. I've been working on a file and as soon as I extrude a 2D shape while in elevation view, all 2D polygons become 3D polygons and stay on the plane they were drawn. Obviously I do not want this so how can I turn it off. The problem doesn't happen until I extrude the first polygon. If anyone can shed some light on this as I've never had the problem before. Thanks. EDIT I just worked out there's an option for layer plane/screen plane. I think the issue is new 2d objects are defaulting to layer plane instead of screen plane once an extrude is performed. How do you change this back to screen plane? EDIT Worked it out. Panic over! Edited October 9, 2011 by ivan77 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted October 9, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 9, 2011 You can change objects from Screen Plane to Layer plane and vice versa by selecting the object and changing the plane on the Object Info palette. The plane for objects you are about to create is set on the View bar at the top of the screen. Hope that helps Quote Link to comment
