Kreativ architects Posted September 27, 2011 Share Posted September 27, 2011 I have a VWA model that was originally created in 2009 but upgraded to 2011. The roofs were however created in 2011. However, the connecting roof faces doesn't appear to work. Does 'connect faces' work with roofs or do they have to be deconstructed to 'faces'? Is the fact that the original model is 2009 complicate things? I've carried out the instructions as per the book and YouTube video but there is no red highlight as for other similar actions. Damon Design Posted September 27, 2011 Share Posted September 27, 2011 The connected faces feature works only on roof faces, not a roof created as a whole entity. Get all the elements on the original roof as close as possible to what you want with the final roof with the OIP functionality (facias, attics, soffits et...) available with a roof, copy it to refer back to it and then deconstruct it to roof faces to use the connected faces feature.
