hpregler
I am really new at VW Spotlight and am teaching myself, so this is probably an easy fix. I am trying to figure out how to get the legends to show up along with the symbols on the plan view of my light plot. Any assistance would be great. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted September 21, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 21, 2011 Have you set up a Legend? If not, you could draw your plans in the ready made Spotlight template (FIle > New > Use Template and pick the Spotlight one. This automatically assigns a legend to the instruments. Otherwise, you need to set up a legend (Spotlight > Label Legend > Label Legend Manager). You choose the fields you want to assign and then edit the layout to determine where those fields will be displayed in relation to the instrument. Then, you need to select the instruments and assign the legend to them (Spotlight >Label Legend > Assign to Instruments). Hope that helps to get you started! Quote Link to comment
hpregler
okie, I tried this and am still having troubles. Any other ideas? Quote Link to comment
bcd
Have you inserted your light symbols as Lighting Instruments? If not it won't work. Select an instrument and in the OIP it should read Lighting Instrument rather than 2d/3d symbol. If it reads the latter double click the instrument in the RB to activate the Instrument insertion tool before placing it. Also be sure the automatically generated Label Classes are turned on.
