willofmaine 146 Posted September 7, 2011 How do I make the sills of windows and the thresholds of doors opaque so that when things are beneath them in Top/Plan View those things are hidden? Thanks, Will Quote Share this post Link to post
CipesDesign 153 Posted September 7, 2011 WIll, I believe this is a bug 2011.4. I just played around a little and discovered (by Ungrouping the "high level" door object) that the Threshold was created (coded) using an unfilled poly. Unfortunately I know of no easy way to fix this. You may have to resort to annotating over the offending areas. Quote Share this post Link to post
CipesDesign 153 Posted September 7, 2011 PS: The Window SIll seems to perform as expected (ie: it is opaque)... Quote Share this post Link to post
willofmaine 146 Posted September 7, 2011 Hi Peter, Thanks for confirming what I suspected might be the case. Yes, the window sills do work as expected, which I realized after posting and meant to mention. Not a huge deal, especially since it's just the doors; I'll add some patches under the thresholds. I'm only a few days into 2011, but so far liking it a lot!! Thanks again, Will Quote Share this post Link to post
Judah Warshaw 9 Posted September 14, 2011 Unfortunately, there is no real way to fix this in 2011 short of covering it up yourself. But I can confirm that this issue has been resolved in 2012. Please see my post at http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=160098#Post160098 for a complete listing of Door and Window improvements for Vectorworks 2012. willofmaine 146 Posted September 14, 2011 Hi Judah, Excellent, that's good to know. In the meantime I'll just patch them; not a big deal. Thanks! Will Quote Share this post Link to post
