TBrown
I have placed several windows in a wall and am now trying to add an exterior masonry sill. After adding the sill in the settings portion of the Obj. Info Palette, the result is a window with the sill on the inside. I tried clicking on the flip button but I see no change after. I can flip the direction of doors I insert into the same wall, but not windows. Anyone else experience this? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
what happens if you click on the flip again? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
when you place a window in a wall, always move the cursor outside the building for the final click. Quote Link to comment
TBrown
I know sometimes you have to click the flip button more than once but even multiple clicks of the button result in no change to the location of the sill. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
TB Are you sure the window is embedded in the wall? In the OIP, does it say "symbol in wall" at the top of the palette? Quote Link to comment
djb
Try making the depth(4) larger than the stool nose(7) this will show inside versus outside. or add exterior trim only to see which is outside, or view in 3d when you flip. flipping mirrors two ways, once for inside-out, and left versus right. Farookey
Hi... Select the wall, and 'Reverse Sides'. I have seen this happen with something else before; the hinge direction lines. I had posted this solution somewhere on this forum. Why it happens, I DON'T KNOW as yet! But your sills should now face the right way! Quote Link to comment
D Wood
You will have to adjust wall textures as well if you "Reverse Sides". Quote Link to comment
