Guest Posted April 9, 2002 Share Posted April 9, 2002 IGES (IGS) stands for Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, an ANSI graphics file format for three-dimensional wire frame models. Alot of the higher end CAD programs use or can recognize IGES files. Including IGES file recognition with VW allows for users to exchange their 3d models with other professionals in the native file format. The other export options allowed by VW do not support 3d models such as an IGES export will provide. Quote Link to comment
