JOE DE VILLIERS
IN VW ARCHITECT; I really only use line weights 1-20. These print well, but is there a setting with which one can control / set how the line weights appear on the screen? Lines 2-14 all appear the same thickness on the screen which makes it a bit difficult to see at a glance which class one is in while drawing. Any advice? thanks, Joe Quote Link to comment
mar schrammeyer
tick zoom line weight in prefs and give yourself a signature with your OS, computer specs and vw Quote Link to comment
JOE DE VILLIERS
Hey Mar. THANKS SO MUCH! Perhaps you can also answer this one... Is it possible to print to a certain scale (e.g. directly to a small printer on A4 (e.g.) without setting up a sheet layer with a viewport, etc. One occasionally just wants to quickly print a portion of a design layer to work on it by hand or for a quick check. (you might notice that I am pretty new to VW!!) thanks Joe Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Couple ways here. There are likely others. Make a screen shot and print that. (Shift Cmd 4 then drag a marquee). Select objects you want to work with and Copy/Paste into an email or image edit app (Preview, Graphic Converter, etc) Some objects may not paste. Rendered objects with fill may not copy. Viewports are probably easier, but: In File>Document Settings>Document Setup>Drawing Area & Scale: Change the drawing area to desired paper size. rescale the drawing, too if nec. After you print, change them back if needed. Your line weights may be a big hassle to change to and from. -B Quote Link to comment
JOE DE VILLIERS
Thanks Benson. I was hoping there was a more obvious step that I was missing...seems at the mo that making a viewport is the easiest. But thanks again for your advice. Joe Quote Link to comment
bcd
What you can do is: In the File>Page Setup set your default page size to be A4 When you want to print something simply go File>Print>Current View Only Quote Link to comment
