Mesh Smoothing

Something equivalent to the Mesh Smooth or Turbo Smooth modifier in 3DS Max.

In Document Settings>Document Prefs>Display there is a Mesh Smoothing option with adjustable setting. Is this similar to the 3DS function?

I've never gotten that to work, nor have I found any documentation on it.

Looking for something like the Poly Smoothing for 3D objects.

Mesh smoothing usually works for me, although ocaisionally if you import Mesh objects into VW they will come as a group of bazillion 3D polys and not a mesh.

In that case smoothing will not work. The polys can sometime be composed into a mesh, or if that doesn't work Export as 3DS and import back in will usually work.

Very occasionally I've seen meshes not smooth with the command, but rarely.
