MLocal
I am trying to doa simple 3D model of a kitchen, and generally quite like the cabinet symbols and how much they can be manipulated. However, I cannot, for the life of me, find a way to have full-overlay doors. Every one of the 15 styles that come with the program** are framed cabinets. I can't use them at all! All the cabinet and door styles also look the same (save some line weight differences), so I feel like I'm missing something. Any ideas? Thanks! **While I owen VW10, I "back-graded" because I hated it so much, so I work on VW8Architect Edited July 15, 2011 by MLocal Quote Link to comment
Mitchell Brooks
Can't help too much with VW8, but in VW2011, you can choose "mounting" as flush or surface. Does VW8 not have that choice? Quote Link to comment
taoist
I have VW2008 Adjust the reveal for the stiles and rails. Top, Bottom, Sides, and if need be middle & center taoist Quote Link to comment
taoist
If you want real control over cabinets, get InteriorCad XS plugin. http://www.extragroup.de/en/interiorcad-en/versions/interior-xs/kitchen-design/ You can control every part of the cabinet. Even change edge profiles for door panels and such. Will do angle front and sides of cabinets as well. Imagine putting cabinets under a set of stairs to match the slope. taoist Quote Link to comment
Damon Design
I think that the 15 "styles" that you mention are just class styles for you to apply graphical attributes (colors, textures if you have renderworks etc...) to the cabinets, they don't change the cabinet construction at all.
