Andrew Mac
I have a real quick question- When someone asks for technical furniture drwaings in 2-d how is this different than just the actual furniture piece itself. Thanks in advance! Andrew Quote Link to comment
Guest
2d representation is only going to show you the x and y axis. This may be a front view of an object or a top view of an object. You might need to send them multiple sides of the object - Front, Top, and Side view. Or you may want to send it to them in an isometric view which depicts all the x axis, y axis and z axis. ccroft
As someone who builds furniture I would think that they wanted construction details like joinery and a few sections showing material thickness and such. Plus some hardware specs. In short, a complete set of drawings showing how the piece will actually be built as opposed to how it will look. Quote Link to comment
