Tia
Greetings, I wonder if there is a way to get some light into my interiors so that the ceilings don't render almost black when I walk through. I have used VW as a secondary program and I just can't master placing all the interior lights to get a good effect and I don't have the time to mess with it. I would settle for no shadows at all rather than the dark ones I get when I put in a couple of lights. Right now I leave the ceiling off but often the ceiling is a major part of the interior affect. Any way to dumb this down for me? No problem with exterior and manipulating the sun. Thx. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted May 12, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) How about creating a Directional light, pointing toward the ceiling, which is set NOT to cast shadows. This will then pass straight through any geometry and light the ceiling. Turn it down so it doesn't overlight the space, and so that you can still see the effects of other interior lights. cwailes
Try working through the Renderworks tutorial. There are some great tips in there if you are new to working with Renderworks. It is located at the below link towards the bottom of the page. Make sure you download the data files as well. http://www.nemetschek.net/training/free_resource.php Quote Link to comment
