Zeynep 0 Posted April 25, 2011 Hi all, I can not 3d dimensioning in isometric view in VW 2011.At the same time dimensions are changing location when I change view  Is it (3d dim.) plug-in? How can I do 3d dimensioning as in the picture? Quote Share this post Link to post
CipesDesign 76 Posted April 25, 2011 You need to create the dimensions in a Front (or Side) View, or in Top/Plan. Then switch back to Isometric and adjust the position(s) to suit the view. This will only work in a Design Layer, not in a Viewport... You can make a Viewport of the Isometric View after creating the dimensions... Not a perfect system, but more or less workable if you have the patience. Quote Share this post Link to post
Gerrit 4 Posted April 25, 2011 Go to an isometric view. Rotate and eventually move the 3D Working Plane (snapping to your object). Create the dimension(s). Quote Share this post Link to post
Bob-H 0 Posted April 26, 2011 Another thing worth checking is whether the document window shows the Screen Plane or Layer Plane (or Working Plane) for creating objects. It goes to say that Layer Plane and Working Plane modes should be used. Quote Share this post Link to post
Zeynep 0 Posted April 27, 2011 Nemetschek must find a solution to this,ok I did as you said it but not the easiest methods. -dimensions do no appear in Open GL or other rendering modes -dimensions are lost save as jpeg or other format -In 3D objects does not appear some of the dimensions save as Create Symbol - - - or I can't... Quote Share this post Link to post
mike m oz 256 Posted April 27, 2011 Zeynep in SP3 I can get the dimension to show in renders and exported images. Quote Share this post Link to post
GWS 0 Posted April 27, 2011 Mike, have you tried it in a viewport with OpenGL? Quote Share this post Link to post
mike m oz 256 Posted April 27, 2011 OpenGL Viewport on a Sheet Layer. Note I did have to increase the dpi of the Sheet Layer to make the text clear. That is necessary because a Viewport is scaled information and the text image from the Design Layer is being scaled as well. Quote Share this post Link to post
