Teresa Hull
Seokage, I'm a Mac, so I'm not much help, but make sure your OS and drivers (especially the drivers for your video card) are up to date. seokage
ok so i realised the vectorwork is actually working fine as i can work on other files but this spesific file. so i thought this file is corrupted so i copy and pasted some basic outlines frm the corrupted file and created a new one and drew the whole thing out again and deleted the pasted basic outlines. but still keep freezing. ive narrowed it down to this tho whenever i try to create a tube by exturde along path vectorworks tend to freeze and also when i tried to draw a line over the already somehow draw tube it tends to freeze. all the other stuff works fine, even on the corrupted file as long as i dont touch or go anywhere near any tube shapes. only problem is i need to draw alot of tubes for this 3d modelling im doing..... not sure how to fix this.....sounds like a ridiculous problem.... mike m oz
If this happens with those extrudes along paths in a separate file can you post that file here so someone can have a look at it and try and figure out what the problem might be. Have you bug submitted your problem to Computers Unlimited? Quote Link to comment
seokage
ive uploaded my file thats having the problem thanks Quote Link to comment
michaelk
It hung up on me, too. When I tried to do something with the outer tube. I reopened it again and rebuilt the path of the outer tube (it had extra vertices in one corner). That seemed to make it happier. I was able to add all the solids (except the invisible rectangular extrude) together to one object. No hangs or crashes yet... hth mk Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
seokage, its not the file that is the problem. I can open it and draw dozens of lines across the Extrudes Along Path. I can also modify the Extrudes Along Path without any problems. I did notice a couple of ways you can simplify the drawing: - Use Extrude rather than Extrude Along Path for straight lengths of tube. - In the path keep arc radii greater than the tube radius.
