KERMA
Help ! I've downloaded the evaluation copy, installed it but when running it nothing happens. This is on Vista 32bit. I watch the memory usage of the program increase in Task Manager when I run it as administrator but it always stops at about 24,000k and never fully loads. Another thing is that when it does this it seems to prevent any other program from running until I 'End Process' Vectorworks2011.exe in Task Manager. I need to resolve this yesterday !!! I tried the whole temporarily stopping UAC thing. Didn't work ! I even tried SP3. Edited April 23, 2011 by KERMA Quote Link to comment

KERMA
What is the specification of your PC? What info do you need ? Vista SP2 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.27Ghz 3GB RAM 32bit 222GB hard disk I asked my sister to apply for, download and install the evaluation copy on her PC. It worked fine for her. She has Windows 7 64bit HP PC, only a few months old. My laptop is only a couple of years old. I can not understand it. I need it to work. I can see it building up on Task Manager, then suddenly it stalls at about 24,000K and prevents any other new programs from launching when it is stalled until you terminate it with the 'End Process' button in Task Manager. I really don't understand. AutoCAD 2011 works fine. Edited April 23, 2011 by KERMA Quote Link to comment

gnkarch
Kerma, I your laptop a Dell? If it is, call Dell tech support to remove all their security software - you probably don't need it. I had the same problem, took a while to narrow the culprit to Dell installed software, but when all was removed 2011 opened fine. Quote Link to comment

What indicated to you that it was Dell's securit software ? Quote Link to comment
