swoods
I'm new to 3D modeling and rendering, although I've been doing 2D architectural drawings with VW for years. I'm working on a kitchen remodel and would love to show the plan rendered using Artistic Renderworks (I'm using VW2010 with Renderworks) but when I do, it renders the top of the wall making it appear that there are no windows or doors. Is there a way to render in Top/plan or Top view and still see the windows and doors? Thank you. Quote Link to comment
mar schrammeyer
You could make first an elevation viewport and then a section viewport of that vp see attached file Edited April 19, 2011 by mar schrammeyer Quote Link to comment
swoods
Thanks, that seems to work! The quality of the view ports is not as good as the rendering in design layer so now I just need to figure out how to improve the output. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Make sure to increase the DPI setting for the VP(s). The default setting is 72 DPI which is pretty low and grainy. Be aware that increasing this value will also increase rendering times... Quote Link to comment
