Some recent posts reminded me that renders and a few other processes provide very little feedback. Is the process progressing? Did VW or the OS crash? Should I wait, or kill & start over?
On the Mac, the dock Icon flyout may show "unresponsive" even if the render is just cranking away. Windows may offer a similar uncertainty.
Does the app know it's in an infinite loop or other crash scenario?
A progress indicator which tells whether the wheels are falling off would be helpful.
