Joel Riehl
Every other tool button on the "building shell" palette seems to be working - as well as all the general ones - but when I hit the stair button, it does not highlight, and whatever tool I was using previously stays active. Anybody else have this problem - or any idea what it might be? Quote Link to comment
bc
Don't know what it is but you might try removing the tool from your workspace and then adding it back in (via the Workspace Editor). Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
A. Check to make sure you don't have a Class or Symbol with the name Stair. If you do rename it. B. Switch to another Workspace and see if it reappears. C. Reset Vectorwork's Preferences. D. Try: - Verifying and Repairing Preferences (with no programs running other than Disk Utility). - Shutting Down your computer. Wait several minutes before you restart it. Quote Link to comment
Joel Riehl
Renaming the class "Stair" to "Stairways" - that was the ticket. Thanks ! Quote Link to comment
Joel Riehl
Here's another question - just to raise the bar: My stair is an 'L' shaped stair - but it is not a 90^ angle, but rather 85.4. Is there a trick for that, or am I on my own at that point? Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
You will need to use the Custom Stair tool for that. One thing to note though is that to turn left enter a +ve angle for the landing and to turn right enter a -ve angle for the landing. Quote Link to comment
