Dieter @ DWorks 24 Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) Hey, I had made some tile fills at my Studio version of Vectorworks (Studio = all-in). My partners wanted to use them, but it seems that thy cannot use tile fills in their architect version? is this normal? Because the manual says it's for all versions. Dieter @ DWorks 24 Posted February 26, 2011 (edited) Can it be that they can't see them because of the computer specs? (They are really low, lower than the minimum requirements, but they can run VW2011 at a really fast speed) Edited February 26, 2011 by DWorks Quote Share this post Link to post
Tamsin Slatter 513 Posted February 27, 2011 Hmm - they should show then. Maybe low spec - try updating the graphics drivers? If it's an OpenGL view, you need to set Use Planar Attributes in the OpenGL options Quote Share this post Link to post

If it's an OpenGL view, you need to set Use Planar Attributes in the OpenGL options I actually meant that they can't see them in the resource palette. I also try to look at the list of the resource palette where you can choose wich resources should be on, and they are not there. Quote Share this post Link to post
Tamsin Slatter 513 Posted February 27, 2011 So, you add your tile file as a favourite and the fills are just not showing as available resources within that file? Quote Share this post Link to post
Dieter @ DWorks 24 Posted March 2, 2011 So, you add your tile file as a favourite and the fills are just not showing as available resources within that file? Yes, that's whats happening. I also found out that when the users open the favourite file, the tile fills do show up, but when they close it, they aren't anymore. So I suspect that VW can't display the tile fills of closed favorites on low spec computers. Quote Share this post Link to post
Frank Brault 37 Posted March 2, 2011 It's possible to filter the view in the list box by Resource type. Check the Show object types-> command under the Resources menu. This will tell you if the tiles are i the file and whether they are being excluded from the view. hth, Quote Share this post Link to post
