botto
Good morning, I'm having a problem ... Introduce the 3D loci. Now I would like to put the 3d design. Anyone can give me a little help? Commands that use? How do I properly roundabout to quotas? Thank you, Pedro Botto (excuse the poor english) Quote Link to comment
botto
Hy, Implement the project in a 3D flat terrain is easy. But how do you do when the terrain is tilted? I liked that indicate what commands should I study or that manual should I buy. Thank you, Pedro Botto Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted February 17, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 17, 2011 Hi Pedro You need to change the Z value of your Loci to match the levels taken on site (in the Object Info palette). You can then use them as source data for a site model. However, I would recommend that you look at the Stake Object tool which you will find in the Site Planning toolset. It is a hybrid tool which will create your 3D Loci as well as creating a 2D plan view of the locus, with the height labelled. You can also use 3D Polygons representing the contours on the site, again setting their Z values in the Object Info palette. I am running a course on Site Modelling next week, but I guess the UK is too far for you to travel from Portugal! Good luck with the project. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted April 21, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 21, 2011 Hi Jo Thanks for sending the files over - I have had a look and one of the files contains the 3D Loci that you want. You just need to check ALL 3D when importing to ensure the Z values are retained and then you are good to go! All the best Quote Link to comment
