bcd Posted January 6, 2011 Share Posted January 6, 2011 I'm hoping someone has a simple solution to this one: A client has VW 12.5 and VW 2008. Because of the lack of export support in VW 2011 I can only export the project file to 2008 & above. The client cannot open in VW 2008 because "I am using vectoworks 12.5. I have 2008 but it opens with issues and crashes!" Is there a preferences file / plist file / workspace etc that he can delete to possibly overcome this. Thanks Quote Link to comment
0 Jonathan Pickup Posted January 6, 2011 Share Posted January 6, 2011 if Vectorworks 2008 crashes when opening, try deleting the last used workspace. There was an issue with corrupt workspaces that caused Vectorworks to crash when opening. Quote Link to comment

In the meantime I have this additional information: "Brian, I have service pack3 and when I try to open the V2008 file, I get a message that reads ?Unexpected end of file encountered during file read operation. (failure on attempt to read file)?.then after the OK button, I get the Vectorworks has closed." Quote Link to comment
