sehillberg
I am new to Vectorworks so please excuse the simplicity of this question: Why are the ends of my lines curved and not squared off. How do I change this? Quote Link to comment
TiTaNiuM sAMuRai
Which version of VW? Are you talking about the screen display or about the printed output? I'm assuming you're talking about the tips of the lines being rounded off and not about the shape of the line itself. VW 8.5.2 and 9.5.0, as far as I can tell, both use a displaced square to create a line with thickness. This is why diagonal and curved lines appear thicker than orthogonals. PostScript output, on the other hand, uses a displaced circle (someone correct me if I'm mistaken). Quote Link to comment
MikeB
I don't know why but on a Windows machine the end of a line is a semi circle when you zoom in, and on a Mac its Squared off. There is no way to change this as far as I know, its just how the system works good luck Quote Link to comment
Guest
We use standard OS calls to draw lines and polygons. The Mac uses a square pen to draw a line or polygon, so you get square ends. Windows uses a round pen. In Postscript we use a round pen. Quote Link to comment
