pdrake
hello, is there a way in the event planner to assign a unique number to each table in a space? i know i can type the number on each table but it becomes tedious with 250-300 tables. thanks Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted December 14, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 14, 2010 It's an option in the OIP of the seating layout. If you create multiple seating sections you will need to enter a different starting number for each section. Quote Link to comment
mcochran
I would like to be able to number tables like I number instruments. Is it possible to add a piece of data as part of an existing table symbol, Like a channel? Quote Link to comment
mcochran
Should I just make the tables lighting instruments? Is there another way to use the numbering function and label legend manager? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
VW2011 will automatically number tables. Any vintage will allow you to attach a record format with any data you desire and display it with the symbol. Unfortunately, you cannot use the LLM with anything but Spotlight instruments. hth mk Quote Link to comment
mcochran
Well it worked. I selected all of my table symbols and Convert to instrument. I was then able to layout with LLM and use the number instruments function to number each table in the order determined by the catering department. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
That will work. You can also roll your own. It gives you more control over the fields and report schedules... Example attached. mk Quote Link to comment
