Decoyman
I have a set of plan/section/elevation drawings of a 3D object and I want to create a 3D model. The components are a set of extrusions (and other objects which I haven't made yet), which need lining up in space based on their positions in the plans. The problem is that I can't snap from a 3D view to the 2D object, so I can't get the alignment correct. I know I'm missing something obvious. In 2009 I could draw 2D guides, to which the 3D objects would snap if all else failed. I'm attaching a copy of the file in question. The black and white 3 view comes from an imported PDF and the red extrusion is the beginning of the 3D model, former D. This wants to align over the side view of the fuselage. Any ideas gratefully received. I'm using 2011 on a Mac. Quote Link to comment
