I'm a new guy, so be gentle..Anyway, I was wondering if any one has had any experience with Raster to Vector Conversion issues as far as VW 9.X. I have done some research, and found some Wintel products, but nothing on the Mac Side. I often need to scan drawings and import them into a layer on my VW drawings. Presently, I use loci on major features and then redraw from scratch, but I was wondering if using Raster to Vector Converters would be a better or faster method.Thanx, Albert Quote Link to comment
CEA Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 Vectorworks Architect has a "Trace Bitmap" command under the "TOOLS" menu. I have not used this command, but it may work for you. I have used Adobe Streamline to convert scans to vector drawings. It works, but the quality of the drawings produced are obviously dependant on the quality and accuracy of the drawings you are scanning. For my purposes, it has been easier and more accurate to simply redraw the plans. Quote Link to comment
