GWS
Is there a way to set a keyboard shortcut (or another quick method) to toggle between screen plane and layer plane? Quote Link to comment
MullinRJ
You can toggle it with this one line script SetPref(1099, not GetPref(1099)); { toggle Screen/Layer Plane mode } To make it run off a hotkey, see Robert Anderson's post (it's the last option): What do I do with a VectorScript, anyway? If you need help with the Workspace Editor, check the online help or write back here. HTH, Raymond Quote Link to comment

mar schrammeyer
Would that be quicker then this? Quote Link to comment
GWS
Actually the main issue is this: I set the screen plane as active, I then select the mirror tool and mirror my object and discover that VW has decieded to switch back too layer plane, meaning that my object has been mirrored in a different plane. I then undo and start again. I was trying to find a way of maintaining my selection and a keyboard shortcut is often done with one hand while the other is on the mouse!! Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
I'm not sure but doesn't the snap to working plane constraint have something to do with this? Quote Link to comment
