JSiegel
Hi All, How do I rotate a hatch? I would like the bring herringbone rotated 45 degrees. (See attached screen shot). Additionally, "smart dims" with green handles where can I turn that feature off? TY J Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
As far as I know in Edit Hatch you cannot but look here http://download2cf.nemetschek.net/www_misc/2010/Vectorworks%202010%20Help/Data/15_Vectorworks/07_ImageGradFills/Editing_Hatch_Fills.htm Do a search in Help for Associative Dimensioning Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Jeremy in Vw 2010 you can rotate associative hatches on the screen using the Attribute Mapping tool. This also allows you to set an origin for each hatched area and resize the hatch. For more information view the Easy Mapping of Associative Hatches online video. http://www.nemetschek.net/library/index.php?movie=2010movies Quote Link to comment
JSiegel
"Easy Mapping" is a little finicky but worked. As for the associative dimensioning, I just forgot it was set as the default in "Document Preferences" TY J Quote Link to comment

I hope the bug is gone in VW2011 though. When you do change the hatche with the attribute mapping tool, the hatch won't scale correct in viewports anymore. Try a hatch with real world dimensions, change it with the attribute mapping tool, and then make viewports on different scales, you'll notice that the hatch isn't correct. Quote Link to comment
Stephen Comber
Jeremy, I have attached a 45deg herringbone hatch for your use. Its scaled to suit 230x115mm paver size Quote Link to comment
