tails
Hi guys, I'm new to VW so please explain in laymans. Where I work we get these mapping drawings provided in DWG format. I then import them into sketchup (SKP file) to make our alterations, sketchup strips out a fair bit of info such as any text and line weights etc, I also have to rescale which is inaccurate. We have now been asked to produce more work which I feel ultimately will be quicker in vectorworks. My question I can import or export from vectorworks and sketchup as a DWG/DXF, but I can't import or export a VWX into sketchup. So can I change the settings in vectorworks so I am working in DWG format? thanks for any help. Quote Link to comment

VincentCuclair
You have to import to VWs alter then export to dwg. Or download Draftsight which is free, cross platform and has dwg as a native file format......still a bit buggy in Mac but hell it's free.... Quote Link to comment
