Michelle
I am using the ancient version 12.5 on my new mac but it seems odd when I send to a PDF my print that was italicized appears normal but is not on the VW drawing..I can live with that but in the midst of a hellish deadline I am concerned if other info may not come through and I may miss it..any help appreciated. Thanks m sorry to be a cry baby Edited October 10, 2010 by Michelle Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Not quite understanding - The text appears on-screen in VW, and on-screen in PDF (Adobe Reader? Preview?), but not on the paper printout? OR Looks OK in VW, but the PDF has missing text? Either of these sounds kind of like a Fonts problem. Try changing the problem text to Ariel Italic or Times New Roman Italic (or some other common font) and view the PDF and/or paper printout. Others have reported problems with Helvetica, but mine works OK. Also validate your fonts with the Font Book application - it's in your Applications folder, comes with all Macs. Turn off duplicates (you can turn them back on later if needed). Read up on font validation in the Font Book Help. Update your Vectorworks to 12.5.3 if it is not there already. Keep posting here until you get this resolved. -B Quote Link to comment
michaelk
I am using the ancient version 12.5 on my new mac That might be part of the problem. 12.5 isn't supported on OS 10.5 or 10.6. mk Quote Link to comment

Ray Libby
Have you updated to 12.5.3? As michaelk pointed out, that version is not compatible with your OS, there may be no solution. If you want to send me your drawing I could create the PDFs for you. Private message me for my email. Quote Link to comment
