"Packages" Folder

The only caveat I'd put on Ray's answer is that vpkg's are our own custom creation, so in the event anyone desired to use standard tools to open them they won't come out quite right.

But yes, you needn't be concerned about them, they are just there for the installer (or updater) to use during installation (or updating) and are consumed automatically.
