Steven Kenzer
On the install disc for 2011, there's a folder, along with the installer, labeled "Packages". What exactly are these "vpkg" files? Do they get installed automatically during that procedure or are these files imported when needed? If the later, where exactly do they go? Thanks in advance for any info here. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Vpkg file are compressed files for installation. http://www.google.com/search?q=vpkg+files&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Quote Link to comment

Guest jkelly
The only caveat I'd put on Ray's answer is that vpkg's are our own custom creation, so in the event anyone desired to use standard tools to open them they won't come out quite right. But yes, you needn't be concerned about them, they are just there for the installer (or updater) to use during installation (or updating) and are consumed automatically. Jim Quote Link to comment
