MattG
I am trying to create a roof that is only sloped up not both sides that turns a 90 degree corner using the roof tool. I attached a image which probably shows what I am trying to do more then I can explain. I made a extrude on one side showing what I want to do. Anyone have any help? Sorry I typically do not use any architect tools. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Matt Try the roof face command. Draw polygons for each roof face in plan view. Select one of the roof faces and run the command. It will ask for the slope or rise/run and the height of the wall's top plate. Then draw a line along the inside of the bearing wall. After the second click that defines the line, the third click will define which way is up. Roof faces are very easy to edit. You can move the line that defines the top plate, you can add, subtract, intersect 2D geometry on the roof while in plan view... hth mk Quote Link to comment
mar schrammeyer
in VW 2011 you can actually use combine connect tool to connect the two roof faces if you go that way, otherwise create a roof from polygon click on the handles where you want the gable (against the wall) and select gable 0 overhang and deselect create gable walls in OIP Quote Link to comment
