TLC
Is there any way to make the ID Label field in my Object Info pallette for a door return the data found in the door width & height fields? That way, when I change the door width & height, the label on the floorplan will update to show the width & height of the door. Thanks. -Tara- Edited October 2, 2010 by TLC Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Tara I don't think there is an elegant way to do it. You might look at windoor: http://www.ozcad.com.au/products/windoor.php I don't know that it can do it, but many people like it. I have tried to make the ID Label tool do similar things to this, but I couldn't make it work... The really inelegant way to do it might be something like the attached. You just have to remember to right click on one of the worksheets and recalculate. The only good thing about it is that it uses the data from the PIO and is editable directly from the little worksheets. michaelk Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Michael, Windoor can return the door height and width as part of the door ID. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Mike That's much more elegant. Do you use the ID Label tool? Can you use it to return other fields? mk Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Michael, I don't use the ID label tool so I don't know how to make it return other fields. TLC there is an Advanced Topic section in the Help on Creating Custom ID Label Symbols. Perhaps it is possible if you create your own symbol. Quote Link to comment
