OK people, now it is time to join the 'competition' and develop a single file server solution even in VWs!
Even though I have always liked the multi file referencing setup, it is an unavoidable development that has many advantages and will prove invaluable, especially now that the demand for sharing 3D data (among the diff disciplines) becomes increasingly larger and at the same time projects (and therefore files) are becoming increasingly more complex and the coordination thereof more and more important.
Having the possibility of gathering all this information into a single oversee-able and manageable file is a great asset especially in larger multiuser projects, in office but even more unavoidable in coordination with external parties, not to mention increasing development in and demands on energy usage and other demands concerned with environmental development within the building industry.
