Jim Terry
Using 2010 on XP and LW5. Everything works flawless except....the universe/u dimmer is spotty. My dimmers are coming in Universe mode and appear as such under dimmer, i.e. 3/252. However, universe and u dimmer are at 0. Have selected auto assign and it does work in some drawings after a refresh but not in others. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted August 30, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 30, 2010 Lightwright does not support separate Universe and Dimmer fields. You must just exchange the dimmer number and setup the universe assignments in the Spotlight Preferences. Then Spotlight will calculate the Universe and U Dimmers. Quote Link to comment
Jim Terry
Sooooooo what your saying is to not export in universe mode but in dimmer mode (i.e. 513 as opposed to 2/1)? I have all of the universe info filled in VW Spotlight Pref and, as I said, auto assign turned on. I will give the above a try though I think already have. Quote Link to comment
Jim Terry
Guess that was what you were saying because that does the trick. I'm hoping in future incarnations this will not be the case, because I like to have my paperwork in universe format. However, this works for now. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
nakedeye
Hi Jim, LW should recognise the dimmer information in VW, i use the format A/001 or 1/001. In LW make sure you select this in 'Dimmer Format' under the settings menu and also if you click on the VW symbol on your LW workspace make sure the dimmer format is the same. Quote Link to comment
