This is a good method, seems like it would keep things straight. You're not using the story pole tool, though (I tried that, couldn't figure it out). So the ruler you are using is a symbol of your own creation, or did it come from somewhere?

I think the Real Life videos are excellent.

The only thing is the sound in the vectorworks interface, that mixes with your voice...

sorry about the snaps sounds. these are real jobs that i am recording (i edit after hours) and i use snaps when i work.

will try to turn down snap volume??

The Story Pole is a great tool to use in CAD. The only problem is, it's being used only in 2D plan view, so there's no way to snap to that height in 3D view.

That problem may go away in the new Vectorworks 2011, because it allows placing text and dimensions in 3D space.

So this means that we will have 3D hatches? Wow. Everything 2D works in 3D. It seems VW2011 will be great!
