StaticDOS
Howdy gents im installing lights on the floor of my drawing to project light onto the walls, ive set up a spot light to project the light which is fine but the object which is projecting the light is still dark, which looks strange in a render seeing light project from a dark bulb, ive put a point light in the object and made the object glass but it still doesnt look as if its producing the light in the render, any ideas? michaelk
Try giving the object a texture that has a constant reflectivity. It will "glow" even if the light is off. Quote Link to comment

michaelk
Do these fixtures do what you want? In Final QRW you should see the 3 little lamps glowing and the gel frame in the theatrical instrument glowing. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
hmmm. You're trying to do a recessed light in the floor? (Finally got enough caffeine onboard to clearly read your post.) This may be closer to what you're looking for. It's just a light object and a 3D poly with a texture with a constant reflectivity. hth mk Quote Link to comment
