CARMELHILL
Does VW have the ability to draw base trim and crown molding as part of the wall? The way I do it now is to draw a poly line path, and extrude a molding profile along that path. Is there an easier way? Quote Link to comment
bcd
Fraid not. I believe Archicad has this facility. VW walls have uniform thickness for their entire height- You could use the Polygon tool - Fill Mode to create a polygon from the walls rather than clicking to wall corners, or the AEC>Create Polys from Walls. Also you can edit the EOP Profile to include both the baseboard & crown moulding in a single EOP. Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
If you use the Extrude Along Path route, you'll be able to quantify the crown or base or whatever using the Length function. Class each type of profile independently for a total length of each type... Additionally, since crown goes all the way around the room (typically) and base stops and starts at door openings, if you class stuff properly, you'll get pretty accurate take-offs...
