domer1322
I'm almost ashamed to ask this simple question .... In 2D drawing, when two objects overlap, is there a way to select the lower 'back' object without first sending one of them to the back (or front)? I've tried many key combinations, no luck ..... Yoginathaswami
You could hover your mouse over the object to determine the location of the hidden object, then use the marque to select the object?provided nothing else fall within the selection area. Or set the fill attribute of the front object to none. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
And if you press & hold the shift key, you can start your drag on/in the top object without it getting selected. -B Quote Link to comment
Yoginathaswami
Thanks Benson! I didn't know that. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
You are welcome. I think it's explained in the manuals, but I learned it here on the VW forum! -B Quote Link to comment
Bob Holtzmann
I think I got it. First, select the object(s) you want excluded, then hold the shift key while dragging a marquee or lasso. Then the previously selected objects will be deselected. Quote Link to comment
