Ken
Still in rumors though: MacRumors: AutoCAD Coming Back to Mac Am I now considered evil for posting this here? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
I don't consider it evil. it might be useful for checking your drawings for import/export. It still looks a long way off, but someone is putting a lot of effort into this rumor. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
There is an good editorial about it here (especially page 2) - http://architosh.com/2010/05/sledgehammer-autocad-for-mac-beta-in-the-wild/ The Youtube video is also interesting. A focus on improving how people interface with CAD could encourage their competitors (read as benefit Vectorworks users) as well. KM Quote Link to comment
Ken
Let's see how many people will jump ship... Quote Link to comment
David Bertrand
At those prices, I don't see many people switching to ACAD unless they have no choice. My continuing problem with VW is the interface, which drives me crazy; the commands are all over the place and I'm always searching for them. I guess icons are too much for me to cope with. I was much more comfortable with the command line interface of ACAD. I would like to see VW move toward a touch screen interface like the iPad, maybe also adding a ribbon interface as with Revit.
