Moving lights....

How do you control moving lights? Is there a way to add effects?

Also, how do you rotate them, so that you can place them on the ground?

Vectorworks renders only static scenes. You can place a gobo (or any image texture) and have the instrument project it along with a color.

If you want to rotat the instrument check "Set 3D Orientation in the OIP and set the rotation.

Alright thanks! So the only way to have them move, is by making a bunch of focus points?

Yes.

In order to render the light source you must assign it to a focus point.

Ok cool. Thank you! So when you save the scene and play it back in QuickTime, do the movers just take a direct path from focus point 'A', to focus point 'B'?

Yes,

All Lights take a direct path between point A and B with an even fade of the light if there are any intensity changes.

Ok cool. Thanks! So there is no way to have the movers do a color-changing effect without making a million cues?

Well, it general affect the way one according to their light on the ground. Also for some extra effect one can also try to stick its cover with some colored paper or foil to add its effect positively and to make it look more beautiful.  :-)
