Matt P
I've come across this before and I know it's a simple fix; but I've looked and can't find it - could someone please remind me. Some of my trees have their centre dot off centre, how do i recentre it to centre centre Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
in Edit Plant 2D make sure your geometry is centred at x = 0 and y = 0 Quote Link to comment
Matt P
I thought that too - but it doesn't seem to fix it, in fact it makes it worse - i even thought about drawing a circle with no fill and no lines to go slightly bigger than the plant and centre it off that ... to no avail Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted June 5, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 5, 2010 Hi Matt There is one symbol in particular that exhibits this problem. I think it's one from Plant Objects with white flowers on the symbol? Try using a different symbol - or are you seeing this problem more generally? If you have Random Rotation enabled on the Plant - try turning it off - does that make any difference? Quote Link to comment
boundnorth
I have the same problem and with multiple plant symbols. Turning off 'random rotation' makes it worse and I've tried going in and making sure that symbol is at 0"x0" in the 2D edit. Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
Can you post the Vectorworks file here Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
Matt - if you edit the 2D geometry of the plant there is a circle in Class grounshapes that is invisible - centre it at x=0 and y=0 and then the polyline (the squiggly plant outline) grab it and the lines coming from the centre of the plant and align their centre point - where the lines meet in the centre to the centre of the circle There is another problem with Enable 2D Plant Rendering that I do not understand but I think Tamsin may - perhaps PM her Quote Link to comment
