Custom selection

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if you can do the hatch, perhaps a Vector Script can, but you can do a selection based on custom line thickness.

The trick is that you have to define the custom line thickness as one of the options in the attribute panel. To do this go to the page menu and select "Set Attribute Defaults" -> "Line Thickness...". Here you can define one line style to be what ever you like. When you perform the custom selection, the line thickness menu should reflect the previous change.

Of course the easy way to do this is would be with a 1 line script "SelectObj((LW=46));" where 46 is the line weight. Unfortunately, I'm far from a VS master. I think for a hatch you would have to sort through all of the objects in the document or selection and test for the hatch being assigned.

Great idea, T.S.

I'll be sure to add this to the wish list so that hopefully in the future this feature will be added to the Custom Selection Tool. The current Custom Selection Tool 2 has many options, but cannot pull a Hatch as part of the selection process. grin.gif" border="0
