lora
I am trying to have my plant schedule show the actual plant symbol used in the drawing instead of using the plant ID tag. Is there a way to do this? Any other thoughts on being able to create a clean looking drawing without plant tags all over? Thanks. Lora Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Its not possible to do what you are asking for Lora because schedules can only contain text. Its a good idea though. As an alternative you can do a Legend work around manually with a bit of work: - Switch the Plant ID to None (use Custom Selection). - Place instances of each plant on a separate Design Layer. - Use text to show the name of each plant alongside the plant instances. - Use a SLVP to place this on the required Sheet Layers. You also need to modify the Plant Schedule criteria so these additional plants are not counted. You can do this by defining the Design Layer that the report is reporting from. The downsides of this Legend work around process are that: - It is a manual process. - Changes don't happen automatically. The user has to make the required corrections. Landmark would be better if it could do both: - Include plant symbols in the schedule. - Create and automatically update a plant symbol legend. Quote Link to comment
lora
Thanks Mike. I did do something similar to what you described above. I agree this is something that Landmark should be able to do. Lora Quote Link to comment
