why are there no 3D bolts?

can anyone tell me why there are 3D screws (metal and wood), lag bolts, anchor bolts, carriage bolts, but no 3D hex head bolts? seems odd to me. it just doesn't make sense. and why, is there no nuts to go with the carriage bolts in 3D?

Cannot say why.

2009 at least has a 3d nut PIO. I have not opened my VW2010 yet, but check your workspace editor. There may be more hardware than is in the default palette.

There are some 3rd party options, some are free. For example:

They ARE in the workspace editor -- good call.

You can find all of the nuts and washers there, imperial and metric, 2D and 3D.
